Rich semi sweet chocolate chips and caramel sauce melted together in warm milk, topped with whipped cream and caramel drizzle, served with a salted pretzel rod for dipping. Be careful not to let the pretzel rod sit in your warm cocoa too long though- we found out the hard way that the optimal crunch time frame is short!
- 2 cups milk
- 1/4 – 1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
- 1/3 cup caramel sauce, recipe link follows
- Whipped Cream
- Salted Pretzel Rod for Garnish
Heat milk in a medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly to avoid scorching. Once milk is warm, stir in chocolate chips and caramel. Whisk continuously until chocolate has melted. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly. Serve warm, topped with whipped cream, caramel drizzle, and a pretzel rod for garnish.
